About William Studio + Estée Sterling Brink, LMT

William Studio Massage Therapy is a mobile massage practice owned and operated by me, Estée Sterling Brink, LMT, in the western suburbs of Chicago.

I am a DOOPer - a "Dear Old Oak Parker," born and raised in Oak Park and happy to have settled here as an adult to raise my son after stints in Chicago, Madison, WI, and Austin, TX.

I found massage therapy after ten years working in many aspects of the editorial industry, from writing and editing to data analysis and content strategy for household-name beauty and wellness publications like Allure, SELF, Glamour, and POPSUGAR.

Sometimes you get deep into a life choice and realize that you made it by accident. After facing severe burnout in my media career, I wanted to pursue an intentionally chosen career that could help me make a direct positive impact on someone's day. I attended and graduated from the New School for Massage, excelling particularly in deep tissue and craniosacral therapy.

Because I know so personally that work can have drastic effects on your physical and mental health, I've become particularly passionate about correcting pain resulting from occupational kinesiology and providing deep healing to the nervous system through craniosacral therapy, in which I am trained and on track for certification from the Upledger Institute.

I named my massage practice after my dad, Bill, who other than my husband is my best friend in the world. The three dots in the William Studio logo are an homage to the programming consultancy he ran when I was growing up, Expert Solutions; the three dots refer to the mathematical symbol for "therefore the solution is..."

When I'm not working, I'm typically crocheting, sewing, refinishing furniture, brainrotting on drama YouTube, playing Zelda or Stardew Valley, cooking, baking, planning killer outfits and makeup looks, and figuring out which of my too-ambitious ideas I can chip away at.
